Dhakya is actually a stand for cup while drinking tea. In ancient time in Tibet most people especially the head of the family used to use it as a stand and cup lead for his/her cup while drinking tea. The Dhakya is used to provide to guests or respectful persons as a tea cup stand and tea cup lead in ancient time in Tibet for respect. Even today; in Tibet or in some part of the Himalayan land people follow this tradition. This 6” Silver Dhakya has two parts the lower part is used to keep tea cup and the upper part is lead for tea cup. This 6” Silver Dhakya Set is a wonderful piece of art.
